At Urban Eve, a 24-hour notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment is requested as a courtesy to our MedSpa specialists. Some prices may increase due to special factors requiring more product. We love children; however, a treatment room can be a dangerous place for little ones unless they’re receiving services.

- Do not take aspirin, ibuprofen/Advil
- Do not drink alcohol
- Arrive to your appointment with no make-up on
- If you take blood thinners, please consult with your doctor about pausing these for a brief period if you would like to reduce your chance of bruising
AFTER
- Avoid taking aspirin, ibuprofen/Advil for 24 hours
- No scratching or rubbing the injected area
- Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours
- Avoid makeup for 2 hours after injection

What is Botox?
Botox is a popular cosmetic injection that stops the movement of muscles for a limited time, and smooths fine lines and wrinkles. Botox is the brand name for the actual neurotoxin protein Botulinum toxin that comes from bacterium Clostridium botulinum. Brands like Dysport produce a similar product, but Botox is more commonly known because it was the first cosmetic injectable.
How does Botox work?
Botox blocks chemical signals from the nerves that cause muscles to contract, temporarily paralyzing the area that you’re treating. This relaxes the muscles making harsh fine lines or wrinkles appear smoother when you make facial expressions.
What areas/concerns does Botox treat?
Botox can help improve the appearance of many areas, here are a few:
• Frown lines
• Crow’s feet
• Bunny lines
• Chin wrinkles
• Forehead lines
• Eyebrow lift
• Lines around the mouth
• Neck Wrinkles
What can I expect during a Botox treatment?
At the start of your appointment, your injector will go over questions, concerns, and recommendations for your treatment plan. They will cleanse the area that is being treated. This is a non-surgical procedure and does not require anesthesia. When injecting in the desired areas they will be using an ultra-thin needle that is minimally invasive and on the lowest spectrum of the pain scale.
How long does a Botox treatment take?
Botox treatments take 15-30 minutes. The length of your appointment will be based on time spent during consultation and the number of injections performed.
Botox Aftercare Instructions
At the end of your appointment, you will receive specific aftercare instructions from your injector based on the details of your treatment. Please contact us immediately if you experience significant bruising, pain, or any other problems.
Do injections hurt?
Your injector will review with you what to expect and if necessary, will apply numbing cream, or offer a stress ball to help distract from the discomfort.
How long until I notice a difference after my botox treatment?
You should start to notice a difference 2-3 days after your botox treatment.
How long do my results last?
In general, results last 3-4 months, but in some cases, results may last longer. Repeated treatments will be necessary for Botox to remain effective. The effects will fade over time and you’ll notice muscle movement again in the treated area.
Contradictions for injections
Contradictions refer to conditions that would indicate for an individual not to get a medical treatment. Do not receive injections if you:
• Are allergic to any ingredients contained in Botox
• Have an allergy to any other Botulinum toxin product like Dysport
• Are pregnant and or nursing
• Have an autoimmune disorder
• Have a disease that affects the muscles and nerves of your body
